I've been happily owned by cats for over 20 years, so caring for them comes naturally. I grew up with an incredible Siamese who was part of my life for 17 years, and I also had the privilege of watching her peacefully coexist with our Golden Retriever back in Greece. That experience taught me early on that every animal has its own personality. Speaking of Greece… my parents probably deserve an award for putting up with me. As a kid, I had a habit of bringing home every stray cat I came across because, in my mind, they all deserved a safe home. (Living in Greece, where there are many strays, that became a bit of a recurring event.) Somehow, my parents survived my rescue missions, and my love for cats only grew stronger. In my professional career, my first work in Greece was to help settle an NGO for stray cats and dogs - one of the proudest moments so far! I've also catsat for friends whenever they needed someone they could trust. My favorite kind of catsitting day is bringing my laptop, settling in, and quietly working while keeping your cat company. Some cats want cuddles, some just want a familiar human nearby—and I'm happy to let them set the rules. One thing you'll quickly notice about me: I'm obsessive about hygiene. You can thank my Balkan mom for that. A clean feeding area and a spotless litter box aren't optional in my book—they're essential. I pay close attention to cleanliness because I know it matters for your cat's comfort, health, and happiness. Patience is probably my greatest strength. My current project is my Orange Boy, who's teaching me that progress comes one tiny step at a time. I'm training him to enjoy walks, feel comfortable riding in a bike basket, and eventually join me on bigger adventures. The dream? To travel the world together. Training a cat requires consistency, understanding, and a lot of respect for their pace—qualities I bring to every cat I care for. More than anything, I genuinely enjoy spending time with cats. I believe we can learn a lot from them—their curiosity, confidence, independence, and ability to appreciate a good nap. To me, any day spent with a cat is a day well spent, and I treat every cat I care for as if they were my own.
